A City Christmas: Opposites Attract Romance

Surprise! New Release!

My secret project is finally out in the world! Back in late September 2024 an idea took hold in my writer’s mind for a Christmas story and it wouldn’t let go. Initially, I intended this story as a Christmas novella to say thank you to all my loyal readers who have patiently waited for me to release a new book. However, as I started to write the story it grew legs and quickly became a full length novel!

Now, my first proper Christmas romance is published and I don’t think it will be my last. I loved writing Daisy and Xander’s story so much – the Christmas markets, ice skating, first snow, hot chocolates, Christmas lights – all the Christmassy things. I’ll definitely be writing more but I’ll try and get the next one out before Christmas!

A City Christmas takes place in New York and tells the story of Xander and Daisy.

Christmas is definitely not the most wonderful time of the year for New York billionaire Xander Cartwright. In fact, all he wants for Christmas is to hole up in his apartment and wait until the holly jolly nonsense is over. However, a leak, leading to some serious water damage, puts paid to that plan and a shortage of hotel rooms means he has to move in with his brother. Except, his brother isn’t there and some small town blow-in insists she’s rented the place till January. That’s simply not happening.

Small town girl Daisy Moran adores Christmas and this year she’s spending it surrounded by the bright lights of New York City. She’s heard about the magic of NYC at Christmas time for years and now a unique opportunity means she gets to experience it for herself. There’s only one problem, the guy whose apartment she rented didn’t mention he had a brother. A brother who insists he’s staying there too and comes with a frosty attitude and a list of silly rules. No way is she doing the holidays with this Christmas Grump.

However, as the Christmas lights glisten, the first snow falls and the city weaves its festive magic, icy relations between these two start to thaw. Soon their sizzling attraction can’t be denied and they go from ice cold enemies to red hot lovers. However, as the clock counts down in Times Square and a new year is rung in, do these opposites have what it takes to be more than just a seasonal attraction?

If you want some tingle in your jingle this winter then this scorching hot, enemies to lovers, opposites attract, grumpy sunshine, forced proximity Christmas romance is just the ticket!

Early readers are loving it!

Free Steamy Romance Books Bonanza!

Hey there! It’s the first day of Spring here in Toronto and it’s the most gloriously sunny day with an endless sky of blue. It’s a real lift to the spirits after what’s been a very cold winter and one that has seemed extra long due to “the virus that shall not be mentioned.” I’m going to dust off the cushions in a little while and sit on the deck with a good book. I might even choose one from the freebies on offer in the March / April Romance Superstars Giveaway currently being run on Bookfunnel. With two hundred books to choose from there’s something for everyone and they’re all full of steamy sexy times – just the way I like ’em! If you fancy finding a new author or are just looking for your next great read, then click the image below and have a look at what’s on offer – I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Included from me in the giveaway is an extra long excerpt from Someone To Come Back To – Book One In The Omega Security Series. This excerpt is meant as a “try before you buy” sample, so that you get a good idea if John and Maggie’s story is one for you without having to buy the book. Enjoy!

Announcement! Kindle Unlimited

As of December 2020 – ALL my books are in Kindle Unlimited!

I’m not usually a Kindle Unlimited author. However, in recent months I’ve had a number of potential readers contact me to see if my books would ever be in KU.  They explained that due to financial pressures as a result of COVID the only way they can afford to keep reading at the moment is through KU.  So, in order to give these readers a chance to read my books and others who may be struggling financially, I’ve decided to put my books into Kindle Unlimited for now.

Someone To Come Back To and All The Little Pieces – Books one and two in the Omega Security Series are in KU and all my novellas are there in The Coming Home Series Boxset. My individual novellas remain outside KU so that if anyone wants to try and sample my writing and storytelling style, they may do so for minimum cost by buying a single novella.

I’m not sure how long I’ll leave my books in Kindle Unlimited for – three or six months – but it definitely won’t be any longer than that.  To be in KU Amazon insists authors can’t list our books on any other retailer sites and I’m afraid I take issue with this policy.  So, if you or anyone you know who has a KU subscription, want to try my books – then now is the time! Just click on the links at the bottom of each image to get started.

Happy Reading! Much love – Róisín
